Regenerative Native Food Forest

Dennison Scrub is a regenerative native food forest in Auburn, Clare Valley, South Australia

We grow Australian native food plants within biodiverse food forest and silvopasture systems, using endemic and well-adapted species that belong in this landscape. Our approach focuses on regeneration – building healthy soils, improving water cycles, and creating space for insects, birds, and animals alongside food production.

We believe native foods are worth growing, cooking, and valuing. By sharing practical recipes and developing future food products, we hope to help Australian native ingredients feel familiar– not just novelties, but as essential parts of our food future.

Alongside food production, we’re restoring our wider scrub as habitat. Supporting native plants, bugs, wallabies, frogs, and the many quiet lives that depend on healthy, connected ecosystems.

About Us

Dennison Scrub is cared for by our family: Sarah, Andrew, and our daughter Frida.

What began as a desire to regenerate degraded land has grown into a deeper curiosity about Australian native food plants – how they grow, how they taste, and how they might belong in everyday Aussie life.

We’re learning as we go, working with the seasons, and building something slowly. Guided by respect for place, ecology, and the long histories tied to these plants.
